We’re excited to announce our participation as a sponsor in the public arts initiative “Venice in the Gables.”
This initiative will showcase beautiful Venetian posts painted by talented local artists and exhibited for several months on sidewalks throughout the city of Coral Gables.

BAC Florida Bank’s 3 Venetian posts, will be displayed on Miracle Mile, Ponce de Leon and Aragon Ave. around our headquarters.

Partaking in this initiative provides the Bank the opportunity to advance our support for the arts in Coral Gables and further our involvement in the community.

Gonzalo A. Acevedo

BAC Florida Bank has announced that it hired Gonzalo A. Acevedo as Head of its Personal, Digital and Commercial Banking Division.  As such, Mr. Acevedo will lead BAC Florida’s domestic banking business, serving the financial needs of Individuals, Families and Professionals along with their Commercial Business needs.  These efforts, the bank stated, will be focused across South Florida as well as throughout the U.S., via both BAC Florida Bank and its digital channel My eBanc.

Acevedo has over 25 years of experience in the financial services and investment management industry and has been in leadership roles at both global and local organizations.  Most recently, Acevedo was Managing Director at AB Bernstein Private Wealth Management where he led growth efforts throughout South Florida.

Acevedo grew up in Miami and earned both his Bachelor of Arts and his Master of Business Administration Degrees from Florida International University. 
He since led a successful career working at Citibank, Bank of America, HSBC, City National Bank, and AB Bernstein.

At BAC Florida Bank, Acevedo will be responsible for the strategy and growth of the domestic Personal, Digital and Commercial Banking Division.

Margarita Angulo Levine

Margarita Angulo Levine has been appointed Division Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking at BAC Florida Bank. Maggie joins BAC Florida with over 25 years of banking experience. Maggie has served in senior leadership positions in the areas of client relationship and risk management. Maggie’s joins from Brickell Bank where she was Chief Credit Officer and a member of the management team. Previously she worked in Standard Chartered where she had several responsibilities in the areas of client management and capital markets.

Ralph Tipple

Ralph Tipple has been appointed Division Head of Private Banking, Wealth Management, and President and CEO of BAC Florida Investments. Ralph joins BAC Florida Bank with over 25 years of executive leadership experience in the financial industry, having worked in Citibank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank among others. Ralph’s career includes senior roles in Private Banking, particularly on the Securities and Brokerage Investment services for high net worth individuals. In his most recent position at Citigroup he was Head of US Managed Business and Head of Investment Risk.

Frank Robleto appointed as Vice Chairman.
BAC Florida Bank Appoints Julio Rojas as President & CEO.

The Board of Directors of BAC Florida Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Julio Rojas as President & CEO effective December 1st, 2016.  Mr. Rojas has over 35 years of banking experience. Mr. Roja has deep understanding of the U.S. and International banking business and Regulatory Governance. He was most recently CEO, Americas for Standard Chartered Bank based in New York. Mr. Rojas career includes 28 years with Standard Chartered Bank in various senior Management roles across Miami, London and New York. He is a Board member of the Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA), Member of Florida’s Banking Association (FBA) Government Relations Council and Member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).  In his role, Julio will also be a Director of BAC Florida Bank, responsible for all aspects of strategy, regulatory governance and business leadership working in collaboration with the Board of Directors.

As part of the transition plan, Frank Robleto, former President & CEO has been appointed as Vice Chairman of the Board of BAC Florida Bank. Frank first joined the Bank in 2003 as an external Director, and in 2005 was appointed President & CEO. The Board of Directors of BAC Florida Bank and the Management team thank Frank for his leadership, commitment and dedication during his tenure as President & CEO.
